History

In the late 70's, God placed it on the hearts of several individuals to begin a church in south Lubbock.

  • June 1978 - IABC became a mission of First Baptist Church, Lubbock.
  • March 1986 - IABC constituted as a church.
  • May 1989 - Construction began on the worship center at 83rd & Indiana.
  • December 1989 - Dedication of the new worship center.
  • January 1991 - Expanded ministry and began a college service.
  • August 1993 - God blessed IABC with numerical growth and the church decided to purchase land at 98th & Indiana. 
  • July 1998 - Construction began at 98th & Indiana.
  • January 1999 - Surrounded the worship center with scriptures.
  • July 1999 - Grand Opening of the education space at 98th & Indiana.
  • January 2001 - IABC transitioned to 98th & Indiana as the main campus.
  • May 2006 - IABC changed the morning schedule to include 3 Sunday School hours: 8:00, 9:30, and 10:50 am, and changed the times of the two morning Worship Services.
  • November 2008 - Construction began on the new Children's Building.
  • October 2009 - Children's Building Grand Opening.

God continues to use IABC to Glorify God, Grow Believers, 

& Reach People
